Saartjie Petit Verdot 2019 The 2019 Saartjie Petit Verdot displays a lovely deep hue, characteristic of its varietal. On the nose, we find hints of violets, dark berries, and liquorice. With cassis and dark chocolate following on to the palate. An impressive tannin structure and persistent finish, this is a full-bodied wine that will benefit from further aging. The Saartjie range of single cultivar wines, are estate-grown and produced from small single blocks of vines. The utmost care and careful selection take place to ensure only the best wines are produced as a result. The Saartjie name was introduced after our winemaker’s Jack Russell pup, Saartjie.
