Cocoa Hill Chenin Blanc 2025
The Dornier Cocoa Hill Chenin Blanc originates from the Stellenbosch and Swartland wine regions of the Western Cape, South Africa. Inspired by the adventurous tale of the pirate Long Ben, who once terrorized Table Bay and later planted vines on Cocoa Hill, this wine embodies the spirit of the coast and the fertile soils that now yield its grapes.
This versatile grape variety has been vinified into a fresh and fruity wine style, distinguished by its vibrant, bright color. On the nose, the white wine displays delicate aromas of passion fruit and lychee, which continue on the palate with lively, refreshing acidity. The tropical fruit flavors lend the wine an invigorating freshness and complexity.
Grapes from the Stellenbosch and Swartland regions are used for vinification. Fermentation takes place in both stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels, employing specially selected yeasts to enhance the characteristic fruit and aroma profiles.
Thanks to its vibrant fruitiness, this Chenin Blanc pairs perfectly with fresh salads, light pasta dishes, and grilled seafood such as plaice. Calamari and scallops also complement this elegant wine beautifully. Enjoy it at a temperature of 8-10°C.
