Shiraz VS 2017 Viticulture: Vine age: 17 years The vineyard on GlenWood finally achieved the desired balance to produce premium quality grapes. Well balanced growth delivers even ripeness and beautiful structure. Vintage: A fantastic red wine vintage. The grapes reached optimum ripeness with ease, and the balance between yield and growth needed minimal interference. Vinification: The best quality grapes were selected, gently pressed and fermented in half-ton open-top fermenters. The grapes were punched down by hand six times a day and fermented until dry. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel and was matured for 18 months in second-fill French oak to produce a well-integrated, complex profile. Analysis: Alcohol 14.57% Total Acidity 5.9 g/l Residual Sugar 2.7g/l pH 3.49 Winemaker's Comments: An opulent, full-bodied wine with supple, vibrant fruit and tannins. Spicy, white pepper, smoky aromas pervade a ripe, fruit-driven profile. Production: 5,100 bottles
