Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2025
ABOUT THIS WINE
The vineyards were planted between 1984 and 1989 and are certified heritage vineyards.
VINIFICATION | WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Once hand-harvested, the grapes were hand-sorted, destemmed, and crushed into temperature-controlled gravitational drainers. Only the free-run juice was chilled, settled overnight, and then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel. The wine was left on the fine lees for five months before being blended with a component of lightly oaked wine that had been matured in 500 L, 3rd- and 4th-fill French oak barrels for five months, and then finally filtered and bottled.
TASTING NOTES
This wine is all about freshness, balance, and texture. The nose reveals citrus, peach, and apricot, while the palate shows vibrant acidity, a soft, round texture, and a long, mineral finish.
